Beaches At Night

As I watched them,

Light the Pubs,

On the front.

The Stars were swelling in the sky.

The beach was black,

and the sea,

It was cold.

The waves, they seemed frozen in time.

We took our shoes off,

and I ran ,

In the sand,

It was frozen ‘tween my toes.

My skin was blue,

And draped

In the night,

I stepped into the unknown black pool.

And there was sand in my hair.

Broken glass everywhere.

Beer Bottles, Filled with Seawater,

Left on the edge.

One day it’ll start over again.
